Freedom Church Gastonia

Freedom Church Gastonia is a church in Gastonia, North Carolina, built around three words: Home, Local, Global. They care for families in their own church, serve their city through local outreach, and support missions around the world. They needed a brand that felt warm and personal, a website that made a first visit easy, and a steady stream of graphics for Sunday.

Legacy Co. built all three. We made the brand kit, designed and built the website, and have created the art for their sermon series week after week.

The Brand

The mark is a hand-lettered "fc" inside an open circle, with "Gastonia" set around the edge. It reads like a signature, which fits a church that wants to feel like family.

• Colors: a warm gold, a soft tan, a deep charcoal, and an off-white, each with approved logo versions for every background.
• Type: DIN Alternate Bold for the name, Adobe Garamond Pro for headings and body text, and Bebas Neue for subheads.
• Logo files in gold, black, and white, sized for screens, so staff and volunteers always grab the right one.

The Website

The site opens on an old postcard view of Gastonia with the church's name and its three words: Home, Local, Global. Right below, a visitor sees the service time and three clear buttons: Directions, What to Expect, and Contact Us. The mission section explains what each word means in plain language, and the latest sermon sits just under it. A Plan a Visit button sits in the top menu.

Sermon Series Art

Most of our work with Freedom Church happens week to week. Every series gets its own look, built in Kittl and sized for the screens in the room, the Instagram feed, and Stories.

• A Complete Unknown, At the Brook, and Worship borrow from old engravings and vintage type.
• Go to the Other Side, Wait, and Salvation Celebration lean on bold color and texture.
• Seasonal sets for Advent, Palm Sunday, and Easter come back each year with a new feel.

We also design merch, like the "No Junior Holy Spirit" tee for FC Kids.
