Jacob WilliamCrossruption
A brand, a guided online journey, and a library of films and podcasts built around one book.

Jacob William wrote Crossruption: The Journey of a Disrupted Life, published by WestBow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson and Zondervan. He didn't want a book site with a buy button. He wanted readers to walk through the ideas one step at a time, the way a good teacher walks a student through a hard question. Legacy Co. built the brand, the website, and the content that made that possible.
The Brand
We started with a mark that carries the book's tension: an impossible triangle, a shape that looks solid until you try to trace it. It sits beside a classic Goudy Old Style wordmark set in small caps. Around it we built a tight system: a deep blue and a clear green as the core colors, a near-black and a soft white for contrast, and Helvetica Neue for every heading and paragraph. One page of guidelines kept every film, graphic, and post on the same footing.
The Website
The site is built like a map. The book's message is broken into phases (Introduction, Original Design, Fallen Creation, New Creation), and each phase into short, numbered steps. Every step is its own page with three ways in:
- Read a short article drawn from the book.
- Watch a short film made for that step.
- Listen to a podcast episode that goes deeper.
Each phase has its own color, so readers always know where they are. A persistent journey bar shows the step they're on and the ones on either side, and the site remembers where a reader left off and offers to take them back. Every step also has share-ready quote images and a simple way to send in a question for a weekly Q&A.
The Content
A site like this lives or dies on what fills it, so we produced the library alongside the build:
- Films: short documentary pieces, a series of "This is Christianity" spots, personal testimony films, and 60-second cuts for Instagram.
- Podcast: an audio companion to the articles, around 40 episodes recorded in all.
- Social: a graphics set for each part of the journey and scheduled post campaigns to bring readers back as new steps went live.
Outcome
Crossruption gave a single book a home that teaches, not just sells. Readers could start at the beginning or drop in anywhere and still find their footing. The podcast alone reached more than 16,000 plays from over 10,000 unique listeners. This project shows how we turn an author's message into a full brand world: a clear identity, a site built around how people actually learn, and the films, audio, and graphics to carry it.
